1915

Amelia Bertrand, 9
Haisley Elementary

In 1915 life was really hard. My house was very small like every other house. I have to share a room with my two older brothers. I do not like that. My school is also very small. The whole school shares one classroom in all the grades. The older kids in the school sit in the back and the younger kids sit in the front. It is very cramped. The clothes I wear are usually a dress. Sometimes I like dresses but sometimes I do not. I usually take a bike or a horse to school or a wagon and a carriage. Some of my favorite games are tag or hide and go seek. But my dress always gets in the way. The most hardest thing is all the work you have to do for your mom and dad. That is the life of 1915.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!

Annika Villanueva, 10
Carpenter Elementary

The 826 group time-travelled back to 1915!!!! They found many good and horrible things about 1915. Firstly, they found out that they could ride horses as a common vehicle. But also, they had no bathroom inside! The 826 group made a theory; let’s ask this miss to tell us what it is. “Excuse me, miss, but can you tell us what your theory is?” “Well, if it was very dark and very cold outside, and you had to go to the bathroom, you would pull a bucket out from underneath your bed and you would go in it, put it back under your bed, then empty it in the morning.”

That’s all the time we have for today.

Spencer Elementary

Today when I went to school I played marbles with Richard. I learned that he cheats by blowing on the marble which makes me lose. :(After that I played potato bag race with Jimmy Brock. I won, which made me feel good after losing against Rich in such a harsh way.
